The Bears have suspended him for one game for violating that policy.

The NFL also fined Jeffery $100,000 for his conduct.

Bears coach Marc Trestman said he was told the suspension is not as severe as he thought.

Bears offensive lineman Jonathan Cooper was also fined for his part in the incident.

Jeffery’s suspension comes after he was fined $1,000 in the first week of the regular season for violating an anti-drug policy and violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy.

Jefferies was the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year last season.

He led the NFL in rushing yards (5,944) and total offense yards (2,726) and also had the league-high 16 touchdowns.
